The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries hosted a flagship European Union referendum debate for around 250 delegates in Edinburgh tonight. Speakers at the event were Matthew Anderson, member of the Advisory Board - Britain Stronger in Europe, Jim Sillars, former deputy leader of the SNP, Jo Shaw, Salvesen Chair of European Institutions, Nigel Griffiths, Labour Leave Scotland and former deputy leader of the House of Commons Nigel Griffiths and David Bell, Professor of Economics, University of Stirling.
