Former Hamilton Accies head coach Brian Rice is back in football as the manager of League One club Alloa Athletic.

The Wasps have been on the hunt for a new manager to revive their season following relegation from the Championship last season and Barry Ferguson's resignation from the helm. Alloa have a track record of handing upcoming coaches a chance - including Jack Ross and new Aberdeen manager Jim Goodwin - but this time have opted for experience in Rice.
